31 Days of Blogging Day 29
Over the weekend while I was out of town I had all of my posts scheduled out. When I got home I came back to a lot of messages on the facebook page. One poem many students even said they remember the first time they read it many years ago and how it brought them to tears (then and now). Not that that is good or bad but I found it interesting how our memories will trigger emotions and how the people remembered the poem 20 years later.
I then had a former student who graduated in 1995 email me. Somehow she has all these letters that people wrote to the school thanking the school. I’m guessing for the dedication that was done for the auditorium after he passed away. I’m not really sure…my grandparents even wrote a letter. The woman asked me if I had copies of any of these letters. I told her I did not and then she offered to scan the letters and email them to me. I told her I would LOVE for her to do that and she is working on that and will get them to me by the end of the week. I can’t wait to see what the letters say (esp the one from my grandparents).
