It’s NFP Awareness week! Yeah I didn’t even realize until the week was half over (#NFPFail). Last year I wrote a post about using NFP from a single person point of view you can read it here. My new blogging friend Melody featured me in a post about NFP and no joke I quoted a tweet from her in LAST YEARS POST!! The blogging world is a small small world!
This is my new favorite song
and this one
So last weekend I was in Savannah, GA for the Not Alone Series Meetup and it was AWESOME! We had a great weekend of girl-talk and commiserating with each other. I’ll be posting on Tuesday with more details about our trip.
I’m finishing up the St. Anne Novena this weekend as Saturday is her feast day. This is the first time I have done it and it’s been really peaceful in a weird way. I only recently started saying novenas so this is all new to me. I wrote about finishing the St. Anne novena in a Five Minute Friday post here.
I have a new favorite blog about being single. It’s called, I Kissed My Date Goodnight by Ruth Rutherford. I found her from an online dating experiment Single Roots did and I just LOVE her posts. She is currently doing a summer series where readers write in dating/single life situations and we all answer and commiserate with each other in the comments. It’s been fun to read.
Your text here. Sunday is my moms birthday and she has requested we take her out to Olive Garden. I know that is probably kind of random but she wants Italian Food and surprisingly we don’t have many choices that are in the medium affordability area that are nice-sit-down places. So the birthday woman gets what she asks for. I bought her a customized picture mug and tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof next weekend (okay I really wanted to see it but she loves it too).
TRADITION!!!!!
Yesterday I participated in Five Minute Friday which isn’t that unusual but then I did something crazy and talked about my Catholic Faith in the post. I thought I was going to get a TON of crazy comments but I got a TON of really supportive comments. This weeks word was FINISH and I wrote about Finishing the St. Anne novena and what I was praying for and all that fun stuff.
