Alright people Ash Wednesday is next WEDNESDAY!! How did that happen? Didn’t we just finish Christmas? Alas that also means that on MONDAY my 4th Annual Lenten Meal Plan Link-Up begins!! I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for 4 years…that is ancient in internet time! This year I have some co-hosts and a different blogger will be hosting each Monday. As Lent progresses I’ll be introducing them each Monday.
I hope you will all join us with new and old meatless recipes. This is one of my favorite things I do on my blog during the year.
This weeks Not Alone Series was all about Loneliness. I really liked this post even though it was kind of depressing. And I really enjoyed reading everyones posts and was glad that I am not alone in my feelings. Sometimes I feel INSANE with my loneliness feelings. Especially because most people really don’t know how to react or help you.
My friend Bek did a great job about making a somewhat depressing topic hilarious!
Lately my social media choice has been twitter. I think mostly because it’s easy to skim and people are nice. My favorite part about twitter are the twitter chats. I have an entire Google Calendar devoted to twitter chats. Someone asked me to write a blog post but I haven’t so I’m going to stick it in this quick-take.
Basically when I learn about a new twitter chat I stick it in this calendar and add a few notifications. If I am around twitter during the chat I hop in or read the tweets. I usually attend about 2-3 a week depending on the week and the topic.
I use tchat.io to follow/participate in the chats. And I’m still mourning the loss of tweetgrid now a year or two later.
Last weekend I went up to NY/NJ to visit family. I got an awesome deal Thanksgiving weekend on airfare. It was pretty cold but layers were our friend and we managed. It was a lot of fun to see everyone again. Some of them I hadn’t seen since the last funeral I went up for.
Happy Galentine’s Day to all my wonderful Girlfriends, blog readers, and others I’ve met on the interwebs š
One of the cool things I did when I was in NYC was I visited this church in Chinatown.
The priest that started this church grew up and passed away in St. Augustine, FL. He is currently Blessed and I went to a talk about him last year and learned how they are trying to make him a saint.
When I learned how he started this church in chinatown I was amazed because growing up in NYC I can remember going into this church a million times. It’s weird how sometimes you go full-circle.
I took a class this weekend that was super thinking and I’m so glad it’s the weekend!
VisitĀ KellyĀ for moreĀ Quick Takes!
That is a lot of Twitter chats! I haven’t been on Twitter for very long. I’m aware of the existence of Twitter chats, but I find the unpredictable way Twitter threads “conversations” confusing enough. I would get so lost in a chat.

Well for twitter chats I always use a website called tweetchat or tchat.io to help follow it. Sometimes I just skim the hashtag. It’s a good way to meet people and learn things. I haven’t even gone to all of them I just have them written down in case I’m free and want to attend.

Very cool! Yeah I lived in NYC until I was 12. I miss it sometimes and think about moving back but I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford it. It was a fun trip!
