I’m back from vacation and trying to get back into blogging. I got really busy in June and slacked a lot on the blog. My vacation was awesome and I survived 4 days without internet while on a cruise! But man is my email was DISASTER! I’m slowly making my way through the mess but found a bunch of cool links to share with you.
My cousin solved her email problem by just deleting everything…haha hope there wasn’t anything important in there.
Do you love Emoji’s? I’m a tad obsessed with them and still don’t understand how there is no Barfing Emoji. There was recently a study of the top Emoji’s used on Instagram. The heart is #1 which doesn’t surprise me at all. I use most of the emoji’s in the top 10 pretty often…although sometimes I use the cat faces instead of the regular round ones. It was a fun read to read through the top 100 list.
This week I wrote a fun post about taking a road trip across the entire United States (and back)….and how to visit all 50 states while doing it. I found the original article last year and have been so intrigued by it ever since. My cousin recently did it in 16 days (she only visited about 20 states but it was still impressive).
I love traveling and researching travel destinations so it was a fun little post to write and research. Go check it out.
So Instagram has banned the use of the hashtag #curvy. They write a bunch of B.S. about wanting to promote healthy body image and that it was violating their terms. But it sounds like internet censorship if you ask me..especially since #curvygirl and many other curvy hashtags are still okay along with hashtags like nude, sex, fat, thin, etc. And someone even said you can post nude photos with no issues. WEIRD. I’ll be interested to see if they un-ban it or if we’ll see more banned hashtags in the coming months.
The Novena to St. Anne starts today! She is one of my favorite saints because I am named after her (does that make me biased). She is also a saint I have prayed to a lot over the years as I discern my vocation and marriage. When I was in high school we used to sing this little song, “St. Anne, St. Anne, find me a man as fast as you can.”
Last year I submitted a prayer request on the website for the Shrine to St. Anne in Canada and they emailed me saying that someone took my prayer request to the church and prayed it personally. I thought that was really neat and one day I’d like to visit that church and say a prayer personally.
A few years ago I saw this novena booklet in a local catholic gift shop and knew her feast was coming up. Funny story is I misplaced the booklet before her feast and would find it 6 months later and the same thing happenned this year and last year. One day I will know where it is in July but until then I will be praying along with PrayMoreNovenas.Com. I love praying novenas along with them it’s a wonderful ministry!
I love eating Cookie Dough but I know you really shouldn’t…or should you?
Well after a little debate on facebook my friend Allison shared an edible cookie dough recipe you can make that doesn’t have eggs in it…it has milk in it so it has to be heathy right? I made it this afternoon and it was DELICIOUS!
A few months ago I made some printables to go with one of my most popular post. After talking with some people about the printables and the post I decided to open an etsy shop and sell the printables on there as well as just another way to get my stuff out there.
I’m going to be adding more printables and digital products there as time goes on as and I’ll keep you guys updated when new stuff gets added. I’m going to be creating a freebie soon if you sign up for my email list so stay tuned!
