This poor blog has been SO neglected the last year or so. I feel bad but at the same time it just means I’ve been busy living life which I think is a great thing! My wedding is FASTLY approaching on April 22nd!! I cannot believe how fast it will be here. So crazy! I am hoping to get back on a regular blogging schedule after the wedding.

It’s been a whole year since I started using a Bullet Journal and I’m still using it faithfully! I am very impressed with myself. Back in January I stopped using the lechturm 1917 notebook and started using Michael’s Happy Planner but I am back in the lechturm. I liked the Happy Planner but it was too bulky and annoying to carry around. So I never had it with me when I was out and about. Because it was a spiral it was also hard to write in. But I’m just trudging along..spending too much money at Michaels and on Etsy on stamps and stickers. I did buy this xyron sticker maker that makes any piece of paper a sticker so we’ll see how that goes.

Something my family has gotten into in the last few months is bowling. We all have our own bowling balls and shoes. And let me tell you the bowling shoes I have purchased are 10x more comfortable than the shoes you rent at the bowling alley. We also save so much money by having our own shoes. We have been trying to go on Sunday evenings because it is only $1.99 a game and for shoes and since we don’t have to rent shoes for like $12 we’re each able to play 3 games a piece.

I wrote a blog post a few weeks ago about being an “Older Bride” it’s funny because a bunch of people told me I wasn’t an old bride. So I think it’s interesting how we think about the age of marriage and how we perceive how old we should or shouldn’t get married. It was a good reflection on my engagement and dating life and how I always perceived things.

My mom is currently calling our apartment “Wedding Central.” She has a poster board hung up with a list of tasks that need to be done. We spent all day last Saturday working on wedding things. It was an intense day but we got a lot of stuff done. This weekend I’m working on getting all my stuff to be moved out. And who knows what else. You should see the intense list of information the DJ has requested. Songs for everything.

A few weeks ago we had the Eucharistic Congress but I wasn’t feeling well and with all the wedding stuff didn’t have the energy to go. One of the things I wanted to see was this live re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross. Well I recently found out the same group is going to be doing it again on Good Friday right down the road from where I live. So I’m looking forward to seeing it.
My Aunt and Uncle are going to be here for Easter which is fun because we never have family in town for holidays. My aunt would have only gone back to work for one day after spring break before coming for the wedding so she just is coming down early. Win-Win for me.

Back in November I bought a new theme for my blog. I am slowly working on getting it up. I desperately need a new header. Hoping to get a shop on this blog as well but haven’t had a chance to set that up yet. I think I’m going to like this theme once I get it set up the way I like it.
Have a great weekend everyone! Visit Kelly for more Quick Takes!
Congrats on your upcoming marriage!!! Such an exciting time in your life!!
