I am out of town this week at a family reunion at Disney World. Here are some great drug store tips that I have learned from a Savings Nation Drug Store Couponing Class!
Two weeks ago I mentioned I went to a Drug Store Couponing Class. In the class I learned about a TON of awesome reward programs to earn coupons and other freebies at the drugstores. Here is my review of them!
If you are going to be shopping at CVS the first thing you need to do is to is get an ExtraCare Card (ECC). In order to receive any ExtraCare Bucks (ECBs) or purchase any sale items for the sale price you will need to have this card. The best way to make sure your card and your email address are linked is to order one online. You can also get one in the store if you want to go to the store right away. You want to have your card linked to your email address because occassionally CVS will email you X dollars off X purchase that are an extra way to save! To find out more about the ExtraCare Card go here.
Walk with Walgreens – This is a great program that promotes healthy living and eating. By recording your steps and walks you earn different coupons, rewards, and exclusive prizes for select items. You can also join other walking groups and learn about walks in your area. You do need a pedometer for this program but when you sign up you can print a $5 off a pedometer at Walgreens.
ExtraCare Advantage for DIABETES – If someone in your family is diabetic this is a great program. You will receive diabetic specific coupons, DOUBLE ExtraCare Buck Rewards (4% back vs 2%) on select products, and email newsletter with tips and recipes delivered to your inbox.
CVS Advisor – sign up for free to participate in surveys about CVS. You will then earn ExtraCare bucks as payment.
CVS Beauty Club – I will admit I had been seeing signs for this club for months and never took the time to figure out what it was. I feel really dumb for not looking into it sooner it has some GREAT perks! After you join you recieve 10% off your next purchase. You will receive emails with coupons and tips (just like the diabetes program). For every $50 you spend on beauty products you will receive $5 ExtraCare Bucks. You also will receive $3 ECB on your BIRTHDAY!!
I challenge you to sign up for these different programs and then take $10 and see how much you can save at your local CVS or Walgreens!
Thank you Saving the Family Money for your wonderful Drugstore class and these great tips!

We always use our CVS here, they have such great programs and deals compared to the other drug stores. Is it sad to say CVS is one of the things I’ll miss in Colorado? They don’t have any there.

Yeah CVS is the easiest. I have gotten pretty good at Walgreens. If you have those let me know and I can help you learn 🙂
