I hope everyone had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
DAY ZERO PROJECT – I have been reading on several blogs different types of “bucket lists.” I think the Day Zero Project is my favorite version of this list. You can set up your list on this website to help keep track of it. The other thing about this project is you create a list of 101 things to complete in 1001 days (about 2.75 years). I love the idea of having a DEADLINE for your list. Many of the tasks that people are creating are really simple but thoughtful things like “Leave a note for someone in a library book” and “Donate $10 to charity for every task you DON’T complete”
What do you think about this idea? Do you have a version of this list somewhere?
Your text here. I am on a PINTEREST role! I am really trying to work on actually MAKE the projects I am pinning. Last week I made two recipes and my sister made one recipe. All the cookies came out really good. The oreo chocolate chip cookies came out HUGE so I’m not sure I’ll try them again. But it’s fun to try something new. I want to try and make this one next. Small world the no bake cookies I had pinned on pinterest were actually POSTED on my friend, The Catholic Newlywed’s blog!

Over this past week I helped my mom go through all the supplies for the religious education classes. We also went through an old office that hasn’t been used in YEARS and found TONS of unused supplies! As we went through it there were a TON of broken crayons. I had seen this project on pinterest and blogs to recycle crayons so I am now collecting “broken crayons” to make this project. Once I make the “recycled crayons” I am going to give them to my sister for the kids in her class to color with (she works in a daycare).

This is my current collection of “broken crayons”
A few weeks ago I went on a young adult retreat and we stayed at the COOLEST Retreat Center I’ve ever been to. This retreat center had a ZOO on site! Here are some pictures from the Zoo (ignore the crayon pictures I couldn’t figure out how not to have them show in the slideshow).
BOOK REVIEWS – I have finally finished reading How To Find Your Soulmate Without Losing Your Soul by Jason & Crystalina Evert that I will be writing a review on behalf of The Catholic Company. I have also finished reading an ebook I am reviewing for Tomoson. I have started reading a new book called First Date from Booksneeze and from Jan 9, 2012 – Mar 9, 2012 I am participating in a Blog Tour for a bible study based on 1 PETER. Until the book came in the mail yesterday I had NO IDEA it was a bible study to blog about each week. I thought it was just a book to read and review. Things are going to be interesting on the blog in the next few weeks. I know it’s a little bit out of my blogging “niche” but variety can be good 🙂
I hope everyone had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I LOVE Even number years and HATE odd number years. I think it’s because I was born in an even number year. Good things always happen in even number years (usually). I’m hoping that 2012 is a GREAT year for everyone!!
Santa was very nice and gave me a Disney World Annual Pass for CHRISTMAS!! I’ve been wanting one since I knew we were moving to Florida!! Next week my mom is going to the Fashion Me A People conference for Life Long Formation which happens to be at a hotel in Downtown Disney. She’s going to the conference and I’m going to Disney World! I think it’s a fair trade. Not having a job does have its perks but once we get back I’ll be going strong looking for a job! Therefore next week there probably won’t be much action on the blog.

If we lived in Florida, I’d be lobbying for an annual pass to Disney World, too!
Love the cookie photos and suspect my boys will be asking for us to bake some as the Christmas cookies we have are dwindling. Pinterest is a fun place to find those kinds of things.
And, the recycled crayons is a great thing. We have the Crayola Crayon maker hiding somewhere in my house that needs to be utilized for the broken crayons we’ve ‘collected’ over the last 2 years.
BTW, visiting via the 7 Quick Takes meme and would love for you to pop over to mine (with NO photos this week) if you find the time.

yeah I have written 10 so far LOL
Yummmm those cookies look so delicious! I have whole wheat chocolate chip cookies that I make and keep in the freezer (they aren’t that unhealthy and I only have them once in a while if I store them in the freezer). If I want to make any of these- which I do!!!!- I have to wait for some kind of function where I can bring cookies so I can taste one or two and give the rest away lol!
Love the animals at the retreat center!

Yum! Those look delicious! I need to start actually making the things I pin as well! I made board for it which helped me. Maybe you could try that? 🙂
Happy New Year!

Yeah I did that (I stole the idea from you!)
I found your blog so cute. Maybe it is because of the fonts and how you write your ideas. Love the crayons. I never thought of that. My nephew has lots of broken crayons and I might try what you did. They look yummy though. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and I wish to go to Disneyland too! 🙂
