Thanks to Practicing Catholic for mentioning my #AdventPhotoADay contest! I felt like a famous blogger when I was tagged on her blog 🙂 I know the contest wasn’t an original idea as I see photo contests all the time so it’s cool that there are variations of it going around 🙂 I’m a really visual learner so photo challenges really help me learn, meditate, and be more creative 🙂
My #AdventPhotoADay challenge is underway! It is goinng really well and I’m glad a lot of people have been participating. It’s not too late to participate. You can start posting pictures anytime during the 25 days of the contest. In order to win a prize you have to post the photos for each week by 3am EST on Saturday Evening but otherwise you can post Day 1 on Day 24. Have fun with it! Go here to find out the days for Days 1-8.
Here is a button you can use if you decide to blog about any of the days:

This year we are actually in a place where we will be able to do the 7 or 12 fishes feast for Christmas Eve. I’ve been saving a yummy scallops recipe I demo’ed at Publix a few months ago for it. I can’t wait to try and make it at home! Only 6 or 11 more dishes to go!
Next week we are having a Holiday Open House at our office on Tuesday and Wednesday four our clients. AKA the two days I wish I could be hospitalized. Lets see how many awkward moments I will encounter. Hopefully I will get away with just hiding in the back making punch and refilling the food. I have a hard enough time making small talk with people my age let alone 60-80 yr olds. Introvert problems ftw.
Last weekend I went to a craft fair and bought cute rice filled heating/cooling pads. A girl I work with knows this girl from church. It was kind of far but we weren’t doing anything. While we were out we got a deal on a christmas tree for $20! We haven’t had a live tree in a few years so it was a treat. Then I went to CVS to buy the stand. Plus I was able to use my tons of Extra Care Bucks from Thanksgiving week and only had to pay $2 out of pocket.
In other news we are in the middle of rebudgeting our lives and doing a major cleaning…wish us luck…..anymore information would be TMI and probably scare my readers away! Have a great weekend!

Wow, so happy you were featured on Practicing Catholic! 🙂 Way to go!
I love the idea of a photo a day- but I’m not going to do it because I don’t have a real camera- I don’t want to subject you to my truly lousy photos 😉 maybe for Lent????
I’m loving the photo a day contest, it is so much fun! I keep looking around for things that are upcoming so I don’t miss a day! Thanks for hosting it and putting it together =)
Introverts for the win…I sooo don’t like meeting everyone. The parish where I work has a gala every year and I avoid going (until my boss makes me/actually pays me to be there) because I basically just sit in a corner and eat chocolate all night anyway!
Gah! I wish I could find my camera cord in the midst of my move so I could participate! I’m some where in the middle, not really and extrovert nor an introvert. I will say that I actually find older people easier to talk to sometimes because you can just ask them about their past and they have so much more to talk about 🙂
Hopefully I will get my camera in working order in time. Where exactly do we enter the contest though? Via twitter? Pintrest? Sorry for being a little confused 🙂
