Man I’ve barely blogged since coming back from Allume and my 31 Days of Blogging ended. It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks and honestly my November is just as INSANE. I’ve got a paper, a HUGE group project which is basically me doing 98% of the work, homework, church, confirmation prep and work filling up my schedule. So the blog is probably going to be lite until I turn everything in.
If you missed my 31 Days of Blogging you can read all the posts here. It was a hard month but I’m glad I did it. I wrote about my dad everyday or I did something for his website or chatted with people on his facebook page. That project was seriously all GOD because I wouldn’t have made it through the month without his help and guidance. The website isn’t anywhere near done but it’s about 100% better looking now. My next project is to create an interview to send to people to fill out so we can post them on the website.
I finally I did participate in the Not Alone Series this week. It was a fun week. Our favorite single people blogs. OR blogs/websites that help single people. I linked to some obscure finds but I think they are really good and helpful for single people. Heck some of them are good for married people to..go check them out..RIGHT NOW!!
Speaking of nuns the next Theology on Tap is the history of the nuns that have a motherhouse downtown. It should be interesting as I don’t know much about them except little stories here and there. Apparently Theology on Taps have themes and this fall it’s all about history. So we have learned about a lot of the Catholic history in our city so far.
I will admit that most Reality TV is awful. But this week I thought of an AWESOME reality TV show. Someone should make a reality TV show about a church rectory/office. Heck it doesn’t even have to be a Catholic Church…a lot of the stories I hear are pretty similar from denomination to denomination.
They can tape all the phone calls they get, the people that come in and out of the offices, follow different ministries around, follow the priests to the hospital visits and all the meetings they go to, record the drama filled weddings, funerals, and sacraments, sunday school classes, the list goes on. From the few crazy phone calls my moms told me about it would make an AWESOME TV show.
Now who knows a reality TV producer that can make this happen?!!?
One of my favorite podcasters and radio show hosts, Lino Rulli from The Catholic Guy Show, was out of town on a pilgrimage/vacation for two weeks. I was really sad because it meant no new episodes. I’m glad that he is back and a new episode was posted yesterday with over 2 hours of coverage!!I’m hoping to get a good deal on a Satellite Radio on Black Friday so I can finally subscribe and listen to his show and the other Catholic Shows daily.

I think that would be a great reality show too! I have a friend that works as a Parish secretary and she is constantly telling me about the crazy things people call about!

Oh my goodness! #6 – YES YES YES!! If anything, it would show people how busy a church can get, and all the work they do outside of mass & the sacraments. Someone needs to make this happen!
