Welcome to my 2nd posting of Faith Barista!
Today’s topic is Autumn Reflections:
Reflect on your journey of faith as you enter into the autumn season
Tomorrow is the FIRST Official Day of Autumn! This summer has felt like the longest summer, although part of that is due to the move and not working full-time. I know that things are going to be different this fall. The past few years fall has been my favorite time of year. The air is just different as we leave the hot sweltering summer and enter into a new school year. The funny thing is I haven’t been in school in fall for 2 years so maybe that is why I like fall now.
Fall always makes me think of You Got Mail. There’s a line in the movie when they are talking about fall, “…I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils…” I always thought that was cute in a strange way.
The past two years while we were living in Dallas we had Season Tickets to Dallas Summer Musicals. The last play of the season was always during the State Fair of Texas, you guessed it DURING THE FALL. With your ticket you also got into the fair for the day. Before we bought these tickets I had only been to the State Fair one other time during my high school days and didn’t really think it was a big deal. I think things changed because I started working in a place where people would TAKE A DAY OFF in the middle of the week just to go to the fair. So the meaning of the fair and fall changed for me.
But things are different now. We live in Florida and no longer have Season Passes to the Musicals instead we have AP to Universal Studios Orlando and eventually WDW. Which isn’t a bad thing. It’s interesting how everything came together. I started this blog not too long after we moved here. So I have my memories of the beginnings of the next chapter of my life in this blog.
For autumn I’m hoping for good employment opportunities and a new direction to take my faith. I’m hoping to find something to blog about. I haven’t figured out how to bring the “Catholic” into this blog yet. I’m still working on it but I’m having fun trying.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable fall!
