This is my next project, I am creating a price list for everything I buy to see what the lowest possible price of everything is so I know what the “Rock Bottom Prices” are for the Jacksonville/St. Augustine, FL area.
One of the reasons I have decided to do this is because there are many “price lists” out there but they all vary from region to region. So I am going to create a list for my area to make sure I’m always buying products at “Rock Bottom Prices.”
The second part about Rock Bottom Prices is Sales Cycles. When ketchup goes on sale BOGO or 2 for $4 or 10 for $10 (depending on what kind of sales your store does) it won’t be the last time you see ketchup on sale. Every 6-12 weeks everything will eventually go on sale. So over the next few months I am going to be keeping track of what prices I have paid for specific items. The current list comes from Jenny at Southern Savers as well as Cleverlysimple.com. This is my starting point. As I create my prices I am going to write my prices in RED for what I’ve actually paid for the different items. I am also going to write in the dates I purchased the products to see how the sale cycles flow.
CHALLENGE: I challenge everyone to try and create your own price list for your family/stores and see how well you do.
