DOING: I am working on 2017 planning for some of my side businesses that I’m excited about. I have so many ideas and not enough time.
ENJOYING: LIFE. I had surgery in November so I haven’t done all that much since. My hand is still kind of swollen and it still hurts a little but I’m doing okay. It was SUPER MINOR surgery. I had a ganglion cyst removed from my hand but it was pretty big 3cm long. Also, do you know how hard it is to not use your hand? Thankfully it was my left non-dominant hand. But I was surprised at the things I couldn’t do for awhile.
COOKING: All the Christmas Treats! My book club is having a Christmas Cookie swap next week so I am going to be baking some of my favorite cookies to bring and exchange. I’ve always wanted to go to a Cookie Swap so I’m excited for this. We’ll also be making homemade Raviolis that are always fun to make. I love all our Christmas traditions.
WRAPPING: #ALLTHEPRESENTS!! I’m still working on my Christmas shopping but I’m almost done. I’m super impressed at how well I’ve done this year. But the week before Christmas is always my downfall where I’m like I need more gifts and overspend because I get excited about gifts and stocking stuffers.
PLAYING: Hoping to find my Christmas music books to be able to play some Christmas music on the piano. Guilty pleasure games I’m playing on my iPhone is Picture Cross! I saw a facebook post about it. It’s like sudoku without the numbers. I love it. I just hate that you need tokens to get new boards….so alas it’s one of those freemium games.
I REALLY want one of those new Classic NES consoles that was released last month. But it’s been sold out everywhere. It’s so dumb Nintendo knew it would be popular and make money on it but only sent each store 9 of them and no one has gotten anymore since.
Recapping: NOVEMBER
- I had surgery mid-November that went well but I couldn’t use my left hand for awhile.
- I started NFP Classes as part of Marriage Prep. I am learning the Billings Method.
- Nights of Lights kicked off. This is my favorite time of year to walk around Downtown St. Augustine. It’s finally nice out and the lights are pretty to look at.
- Advent started along with the countdown to Christmas. I love this season of Advent even if it is really hard for me to stick with the reflection books I choose to read.
Currently is hosted on the first Wednesday of each month by Anne of In Residence. This month’s guest co-host is Kellie of The B Hive. Won’t you join us?
I love cookie swaps! And all the Christmas traditions. Enjoy, and thanks for linking up 🙂
Oow, a side business?! I’d be excited to hear what it is! 🙂 Hope the use of your left hand is back to normal! That must have been scary!
We had to sell my piano & I’m saving up for a new one, so missing playing Christmas tunes on it this year. And hope your hand gets better soon!
When I was a kid, I had a science homework assignment that I think was about human evolutionary adaptations, or something like that. It had options, and one I chose was to have someone tape my thumbs down against the rest of my hand and then do something ordinary without the use of opposable thumbs. I have never attempted anything so difficult as eating a taco or picking up a cup without thumbs. No wonder animals with paws just stick their faces into their food!

Wow, that sounds really difficult! It’s no wonder animals just eat with their mouth. I remember as a kid in the pool trying to swim like a mermaid with our legs crossed…that wasn’t as easy as Ariel made it look.
