TRAVELING: We leave next Wednesday for our big Family Reunion Family Vacation. And man am I ready for a Vacation! There is about 15 of us going and we’re going to have a wonderful time! We’re all flying to Seattle and then taking a cruise to Alaska!! We’ve been talking about taking this vacation for 3-4 years. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @BethAnnesBest as I’ll be sharing Instastories and photos there for the most part.
I’m also hoping to head down to Disney for a day sometime this summer. We’ve been so busy we haven’t gotten down there to use our Annual Passes since January. Toy Story Land opens at the end of June so hoping to visit that eventually.
GRILLING: I have really gotten into grilling this year. Like Anne, I’m very into grilling vegetables as well. I bought a grill basket from pampered chef last summer and it makes it so easy. Bell Peppers are probably my favorite this to grill.
Another fun thing to grill is Marshmallows. So last year I bought this smores maker at target to use on the grill but I never used it. Well, I finally tried it out last week and it’s basically the best thing ever. Basically, I always burn my marshmallows because I’m too impatient. Well if you put your marshmallow on a gram cracker and then put it on this contraption it comes out PERFECT! Best $7.00 I ever spent.
EXPLORING: Brush Lettering. I never really understood brush lettering. I’d see people post it online and think it was super hard and only people with super pretty handwriting could do that. WRONG. I started following a lot of people and getting added to beginner groups back in February and March. Then I learned people had programs to teach it. So I started signing up for different daily worksheets and I’m slowly getting better and better. I practice in my mass journal with bible verses in the empty spaces.
PLANTING: My mother in law is a HUGE Gardner but I have never really gotten into it. I really would LOVE to get an avocado tree. Sometimes I attempt to plant the seeds from my avocado. Home Depot sells them but they are like $80 and I’m just not convinced I’d get $80 worth of avocados from it when they are only $1 a piece at the grocery store…especially with the squirrels in our neighborhood eating everything.
PLAYING: Right now I am very into Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and Township on my iPhone. I’m also playing the new Kirby game on my Switch. Mario Tennis comes out in a few weeks and I’m looking forward to trying that game out as well. The Switch is one of the best systems that Nintendo has come out with in awhile.
Currently is hosted on the first Wednesday of each month by Anne of In Residence. This month’s guest co-host is Sarah of Total Basset Case.
I’ve never even thought about trying to plant an avocado seed! That is probably because I have never been able to grow a thing. My grandmother was great at gardening, but the best I ever did was that elementary school science project where you re-sprout the green top of a carrot.
