Today’s 31 Days of Free Writes is from the Five Minute Friday Link-UP and the word is GREEN.
GREEN is my LEAST favorite color. The funny part of this is it was part of my school colors for about 6 years of my life. Both my middle school and high school had green as part of their color scheme.
The funny part about the color green in my family is my GRANDMA LOVED the color green. She loved it so much she was even buried in a green dress when she passed away. From the stories that I have heard my grandma would put green in EVERYTHING she could. Her whole house was decorated with green items. She’d constantly wear green clothes and put my mom and aunts in green clothing. Because of this no one in our family likes the color green.
I just don’t like the color green. It doesn’t do anything for me. I do like money which is green but nowadays we don’t even see cash all that much because we deal with cash so infrequently. A big thing we hear about green is Envy. Green with Envy. I really never understood that correlation though.
Another way I’ve heard of the color green is that it represents safety. I don’t know why I remember this but I remember when I was reading a book in high school there was a green curtain in a restaurant and my teacher said that that detail was important because green sometimes represents safety in literature.
This post now is just a huge ramblings about the color Green. And I have no point except what I think about the color Green. I always think it’s interesting how my mind goes about in analyzing the different words I have been writing about this month.

Lol. This was how my original post on green looked. I just couldn’t figure out what to write. 🙂

Yes! When I wrote on purple a few weeks ago it was easy because I LOVE the color purple (which is obvious since you came to my blog and it’s all purple). But I HATE the color green and didn’t feel like writing about envy. Some of the words I find really hard to write about and become brain dumps if I do write on them.

You covered many aspects of green except “Green Eggs and Ham”!
How did you miss that one?
Your green hopping had me grinning. 🙂
oh man! How did I forge the Green Eggs and Ham?!!?
