Today’s 31 Days of Free Writes word is OFFER.
Some of these words are REALLY HARD to write about. Today’s word is one of them. OFFER. Often my mind is not very philosophical. My brain is VERY analytical, practical, and straight forward. I do work in the accounting field after all. But I do like writing as a way to express my thoughts. So sometimes blogging/writing is hard for me because of this and other times if I like the topic it’s super easy for me.
The word OFFER. What comes to mind? Really I just keep thinking about people offering things to me and vice versa. You offer me food I offer you drinks. I think about what we can offer each other to be happy and have relationships. No matter what we are doing in life I’ve learned that every aspect of life we do is all about RELATIONSHIPS. If you don’t think we have relationships when it comes to work or business then you are totally wrong.
Think about customer service. Have you ever not shopped somewhere because of bad customer service? Of course we all have! I recently had a bad situation with a groupon type discount. I purchased this deal and afterwards the business changed owners and decided they aren’t taking any discounts and I had to contact the company to get my money back. Ever since then we refuse to go back to this business.
We felt that was an AWFUL way to do business! How hard would it be to give a few people a discount? The thing about mine was that yes I was going to use a discount but I was bringing 6 other people with me who were planning on paying full price and we now buy all other related items somewhere else.
So there you go. When you are thinking about how you OFFER yourself or service or product or anything think about the relationships you area also offering to the situation and how they may effect the future.
