For the new year I want to get back into writing. Some blogging friends introduced me to the Boost Your Blog challenge. Everyday they have a different blog prompt to help us get our creative juices flowing. Feel free to jump in! The blog prompts can be found here.
My favorite time of day is MIDNIGHT! Being the night owl that I am I have always loved the night time. I am always the most productive at night. I think part of it is because since I still live at home in very close quarters my house is very distracting and once everyone has gone to bed I’m able to get a lot of things done without people interrupting me. Midnight also seems to be the time of night that I get my 2nd wind and ideas just start flowing.
There are some downfalls tohj this being my favorite time of day. At midnight you can’t vacuum unless you want to hear complaints from sleeping people or neighbors. Since we use our living room as a bedroom and our kitchen overlooks into the living room I can’t really do the dishes or too much cooking (hey I need my midnight snack!) Because of getting a second wind at midnight it’s usually 2am before I’m able to turn my brain off and fall asleep…sometimes later. Being a night owl is really hard in a world that runs from 9-5.
I think there is something mysterious about the midnight hour. It is normally cooler outside. I actually feel like sometimes I can see better at night than during the day due to the weird glares the sunlight sometimes causes. When we go on road trips I actually prefer when the sun goes down because it’s easier to see on the road and I don’t get as tired. The sunlight shining right on you can really make you tired (especially if you are driving in the South).
I know this post might make me strange but it is who I am. I try to be real over here. Plus both my parents and even my sister are night owls so it must be hereditary 🙂
Night owls rule!! I’m one as well and there is something exciting about being awake in the middle of the night. I am a night blogger who has been known to pull all nighters. I love it! We’re not strange—we’re unique 😉 and productive!
Midnight totally makes sense since everyone else is asleep and you can have a little “you” time!
