31 Days of Blogging Day 25
The last paragraph of yesterdays poem really touched me. Here is what ti says:
Sal, oh Sal. You heard the ultimate call.
You had no choice but to leave
Your bag was packed to overflowing with love,
You leave us with only memories
Thank you for the times spent.
You met your Easter. “Alleluia”, isn’t that your song?
I can remember when I was in elementary school one of my religious education teachers described his version of heaven as everyone having a house that God was building…some houses took a long time and some houses didn’t take very long. Once your house was finished you died and went to heaven. I feel like this paragraph of this poem is describing just that. My dad’s house was finished and God called him home. And we need to remember all the memories we have of him (and anyone that we have lost).
