Wow I’ve really been slacking on the blog the last few weeks. I haven’t written a 7 Quick Takes since Lent and we’re almost done with the Easter Season. How time flies! Let’s see if I can come up with 7 things to say today.
My timehop app has been a lot of fun this month because one year ago last May I went to Europe! And I fail as a blogger as I only wrote about half my trip here. Maybe one day I’ll get some more posts up…and you know make photo books…for now I have my memories.
Since the last Quick Takes I wrote I have written 4 posts.

What Does Love Feel Like? <—This was a fun post to write and has quite a few comments. I’d love some more especially from some married ladies.

This week I have been obsessed with the new Periscope Streaming App. I have it linked through my twitter so I have seen some of my twitter followers use it and I’ve even done a few videos while I was cooking dinner the last 2 nights.
I think I like it because it takes the perfectionism out of the internet. So many times the things we see on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and blogs is the perfect scenario where nothing is out of place. With these video streams it’s super short clips about what they are doing right then. They don’t have their Sunday best on, they are in a messy office or at a park just talking about what is on their mind.
The coolest one was one of my Disney friends was at Disney World filming short videos so I felt like they were able to give me a piece of their adventure and it’s inspired me to make a few travel type videos over the next few months as I do some traveling/touristy things.
Even though summer is slowly creeping here and it’s way too hot I secretly love it at the same time. I love swimming and going to the beach. Last Sunday for Mother’s Day that’s all my mom wanted to dod so we went to the beach…but apparently everyone else had the same idea and every single beach was PACKED…even the beaches that are usually dead. It worked out though and everyone was happy.
I feel like May has FLOWN BY and it’s only half over. I’ve had things going on just about every weekend. Next weekend is already Memorial Day and the following weekend I am headed to St. Louis for the Encounter Conference which is Steubenville’s Young Adult Conference. I’m really looking forward to this conference, I haven’t gone to a weekend long retreat or conference in a long time and looking forward to it. I’m also staying with a friend that live in St. Louis so I’m looking forward to spending time with her.
Last year we went on our summer vacation in May when we went to Europe and honestly it was WAY too early. It made the summer/fall drag on forever. This year when we were planning our summer vacation we decided to do it over the 4th of July. We’re going on a Cruise the last week if June and it’s finally almost here. We booked this trip last fall (or what seems like forever ago).
There’s about 12 of us going on this cruise so it’s going to be fun and crazy and when I get off the boat my introverted self is going to need to hide in a closet…maybe not….but probably…nah when I’m with family I’m pretty good at being social.

Yeah time flies so fast! I’m so shocked that we’re past half of May.
