Monday was my first day of school!! AHHH!! It still feels weird to say that. When I graduated college in 2008 I told myself I was NEVER going back to school (and I lied to myself that time as I’ve taken random classes of stuff before now). I was burnt out and had enough! HA like they say when you plan, God Laughs because here I am again! So far it’s going good but it’s only the first week we haven’t done anything too hard and I’m only taking 2 classes this semester. But I LOVE learning. I would be a perpetual student if they paid me.

I remember a year or so ago Jen hosted a Link-Up for Nerds. Basically it was people posting pictures of their desks/work areas from where they write or blog from. I remember I was out of town when she posted it and the link-up closed before I could post and I was really bummed. Well I did some reorganizing and with it I inherited an unused monitor that I connected to my new laptop to make it a double screen monitor. Whahahaha I feel really efficient now. I love it!! So here is my contribution:

In one of my blogging groups someone posted the #BoostYourBlog Challenge. Everyday there is a different writing prompt for you to post on your blog. So far I have participated in Day 7 – Your Favorite Time of Day and Day 10 – Ten Years From Now… So far I have enjoyed participating. Somedays it’s nice to have just a really simple writing prompt to write from. I’m hoping to post some more as the month/year progresses.
Over on my Couponing blog I posted about my 2012 Grocery Budget Results. I think i did pretty well. I hope I’m able to do just as good in 2013 and got super excited to put my first shopping trips results into my new spreadsheet this week.
Last weekend I finally upgraded my Mac’s software to Mountain Lion and I LOVE IT! The coolest thing is you can tweet and facebook from the desktop now (kind of like how the new notifications on the iphone). I can also iMessage people from my computer which is cool for when I want to text people that have iMessage and I don’t feel like using my phone. Yes Apple knows how to make me even more lazy.
I found this cool craft on Pinterest I think I am going to try and make and I may even do a version of it with the confirmation kids whahahaha

The link to your grocery budget seems to be broken!
Really it works for me? HMMM
It should be working now Jen 🙂
Ok two questions for you: 1. what blogging group is this? I would love to know more about it. and 2. how can you tweet from your desktop. I’m not in the know!

Oh, that Fruit of the Spirit craft is beautiful!
Bah I MUST update my Mac!
My laptop is so old I can’t run Mountain Lion. It’s killing me!
Maybe this is the boost I need to sell the laptop and coerce my husband into the giant iMac.
Love the craft idea!

Ahhh two screens for efficiency is my ideal desk set-up. Lucky you! Hopefully I can have that one day.
And yup, God laughs when we plan…though it hasn’t stopped us from trying, has it?
