I’ve been busy this week!! I wrote 3 posts this week! I joined the band wagon and linked up about my 5 Favorites. I also decided to be like the cool kids and wrote a 30 Before 30 post (I turn 30 in 3 years). Let’s see how many of them I accomplish. Thank you blogging friends Mandi & Cat and the interwebs for all the ideas. And last but not least I finally finished writing a reflection on The Eucharist & The Eucharistic Congress I went to a few weeks ago.
I’m trying something new. Now that I have about a 20-30 minute commute to and from work and the radio stations around here are awful I’m going to start listening to audiobooks. I checked out a few from the library this week so we’ll see how this goes. A few years ago when I had about the same commute I started doing this and I really enjoyed it. I used to love reading but it’s just hard for me to get into reading these days. I’m reading stuff for work and school all day. So I’m going to try audiobooks for now.
Another new thing I am trying is to listen to more podcasts. I found a bunch of Catholic ones that I’ve started listening to and a lot of them are actually really good and even funny! So far my favorite is The Catholic Guy Show.
Apparently my blogging about Milo and Pierre is one of the 7 Deadly Sins of Catholic Blogging. OOPS. But they are attention fiends and want to be showcased online. They even sit on the computer. You mean that doesn’t mean they want to be on the internet? What is dumb is if I posted pictures of my kids no one would care. Oh well…moving on…
I have a blogging friend on facebook and her church celebrated baptisms and dedications last weekend. She posted some photos and linked to the churches facebook page. They had several photos from the weekend and this was one of them.
When I first saw it I was like wait that is how Catholics are baptized! And then it all became so clear why Catholics honor the baptisms of other christian faiths. We’re all baptized in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirt (the trinity). So many days I read thing things online about other religions and everyone is just bashing one another and talking badly about one another about how their religion is better than mine. But just for one moment I felt connected to this church and these baptized people and thought how else can we work together in christ verses against?
I went and looked at my stats earlier and looked to see at what search terms people have used to find my blog. Lots of interesting stuff. A lot of people seemed to find my blog during lent for terms like “lent diet” “lent calendars” in many different forms. Here are some of my favorites:
Beth anne’s Finest
Beth Annes Finest churcH (I guess she has a church)
Cute yolo
yolo cat meme
are there any pictures of the tabby cat who warmed baby jesus in the manger (I know I’m a crazycatlady but you can’t make these things up)
autumn giraffe in labor (remember her?)
athens vbs ideas + pinterest (yes that is what we are doing for VBS this summer now I know I need to write some posts of our ideas!!)
Disney Catholic Speakers (I do love disney and being catholic but i’m not really sure what this is even supposed to mean!!)
And my favorite one so far: MY HOPES AND DREAMS TEN YEARS FROM NOW
Have a great weekend! I hope it is 1000000X more exciting than mine as I’m going to do a lot of nothing followed by nothing and some homework.

#1: Yay!!! I’ve done the “101-in-1001” twice and it’s been really fun.
#3: SQPN is awesome.
#4: Totally guilty as well. Oh well… cats rule.
#5: Preach it!
Ha ha… ‘my hopes and dreams ten years from now’… Because The Internet can tell you if you’re not very sure.
I can’t do books on tape… I realize like 10 minutes later that I was daydreaming and not listening! The podcast idea is good, though. LOL @ the cat warming Jesus in the manger!!!
You MUST listen to the audiobook version of Little Bee! It is AMAZING!
Fun QTs. I like Stacey can’t do audiobooks. I can do talks, and podcasts but not audiobooks. I think I am a visual learner and not an audible one, maybe thats why. Good luck with the 30 by 30. I don’t think I could join in because I only have 5 months to go before then.
I’ve been thinking about getting into podcasts too, but I feel like if I start it will be overwhelming…still trying to get the hang of the blogging thing! 🙂
happy weekending!!
