I’m getting back into the blogging groove. Last week I had a meetup with some local bloggers and got some new ideas and suggestions and then Jen suggested a week long blogging challenge and so far I’ve made it to Day 5!!
So in case you’ve missed it I blogged about blogging on Monday, I posted a book review on Tuesday, I participated in MoxieWifes 5 Favorites on Wednesday and yesterday I posted about NFP from the perspective of a single-lady in honor of #NFPAwareness week! Man I’ve been busy!
All month long I have been having my own Staycation. I’ve lived here for over 2 years and still hadn’t visited a lot of the tourist attractions. I received a “golden ticket” from work and have been going in and out of the different museums all month. I’m hoping to guest blog my experiences on a local blog about my adventure. It’s definitely been a lot of fun to learn about the city we live in. It’s also one of the tasks for my 30 Before 30 list (win-win). Sadly I think I have mentioned this in every set of quicktakes for the last 2 months because it’s one of the few exciting things going on with me right now…
I know you are ALL DYING to know but my sister FINALLY decided on bridesmaids dresses and there’s no turning back as the dresses have all been ordered!! The dresses she ended up picking are actually really cute and modest (thank god) and NOT STRAPLESS! For the record I was going to have straps added anyway. If it wasn’t for my sisters future MIL and her fiance getting involved I don’t think we ever would have gotten a dress picked. For once I was happy about people butting in. And just because I don’t trust Florida weather I’m soo getting a jacket since this wedding is outside. Here is a photo:
I’m slowly in the process of shutting down my old couponing blog – The Catholic Couponer.com. I just got burned out trying to be a deal blog and the things I LOVE to blog about fit more on this blog anyway. So in the coming weeks I’ll be making changes to this blog and adding in some of my old posts from that blog into this one and eventually shutting that one down. And in the future I hope to write up some more saving money/budgeting tips on this blog since everyone can use those kinds of tips not just deal bloggers.
Internet meme’s really crack me up. I saw this one appear on my newsfeed earlier this week and just died laughing…apparently you aren’t allowed to order food because you are hungry anymore.
Pinterest over the past few weeks totally updated their site and I REALLY like the changes they have made. I like being able to see who has liked/followed/repinned things I have pinned and I like that after I pin something I can see what other boards the pin has been pinned to. It makes Pinterest feel more community oriented than it was in the past. And wow I think that is the most I have ever used the words PIN, PINNED, and REPINNED in a sentence.
Tomorrow is my Mom’s birthday and we’re bringing up the gifts at mass on Sunday!! I know one of our weekend activities is to visit an aquarium and I’m sure swimming/the beach and eating seafood will also be involved!! We might visit a waterpark but that hasn’t been finalized yet. It should be a fun weekend!
