Many stores are trying to “Go Green” and save money on bags by encouraging you to use your own reusable bags for groceries. There are many stores where they will give you discounts for using reusable bags.
At Target if you use your own reusable bag they will give you $0.05 off your purchase. Now I know your thinking $0.05 isn’t that much. But when your trying to save money, $0.05 is $0.05.
At CVS you can purchase tags for your reusable bags for $0.99. You put these tags on your reusable bags and when you purchase items at CVS you have the cashier scan the tags and every 4th Scan you recieve 1 Extra Care Buck for your next purchase. So at CVS you can get $1 back once every 4 trips.
There are many other store’s that will give you discounts for “Going Green” so check out your local stores and ask if they provide any discounts.
I know there are also store’s like Aldi and Save A Lot where they don’t provide bags and you have to bring your own bags or PURCHASE bags for 2-10 cents. So in store’s like that you have to make sure you bring your own bags or you’ll have to pay for bags.
Please feel free to leave comments of your experiences of “Going Green” while couponing.
