Happy 4th of July! I’ve had a pretty busy week this week so I haven’t blogged much so I decided to do Five Minute Friday since that only takes 5 minutes!
GO
EXHALE. I’ll be honest the only things I can think of for this word are about breathing.
BREATHE IN…..BREATHE OUT….INHALE….EXHALE….these are all voluntary actions we make everyday. Do we concentrate on exhaling? No…we just do it. I can remember when I was in middle school choir they made a BIG DEAL about breathing. We would regularly do breathing exercises. It was the weirdest thing.
I can remember thinking uh I know how to breathe…my body does this regularly without me even thinking. And then we’d hit a spot in the song where it was super obvious WE ALL TOOK A BREATH and it sounded awful. We would do these exercises so we could hold notes longer and better and involuntary take breathes without others noticing.
I’m not a professional musician or anything so this is a really strange post to be writing but it just makes me think of all the things we do INVOLUNTARY. Breathing, walking, speaking, thinking, EXHALING. How many times do we do something involuntary and then feel badly about it later or think we should have done something differently. Exhaling is the reaction to BREATHING. Therefore speaking is the reaction to thinking. And this list could go on forever. It just goes to show as an action as simple as EXHALING can lead you to ponder so many more involuntary things.
STOP

I enjoyed you post. We do breath automatically but using the diaphragm is a different story. Lol
