Welcome to the 3rd week of the Lenten Meal Plan Monday Link-Up! Feel free to grab the link-up badge to use on your own post!
We are officially in the 2nd week of Lent. How did everyone’s meals go last week? Everyone has been posting such great ideas! I hope it is giving everyone a lot of good ideas to try over the next few weeks. I am going to use the same code each week. I tested it out and it let me add several links using my same email address. So if you posted a meal last week and want to again it should work. If you have any issues just leave a comment and I will change the code.
Last week we were out-of-town for my birthday. I think we did more in the Orlando area in 3 days than most people do in a week! I’m still re-cooperating but it was worth it! Since we spent the morning/afternoon in the park we had Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches and chips for Lunch.

This isn’t how we had our PB&J but this recipe looks like fun! I might try to make these this week just because it looks like fun.
Then we cooked Shrimp Scampi for dinner! It was yummy. Plus the shrimp was BOGO a few weeks ago at Publix which made it very affordable.

This isn’t my shrimp scampi. I forgot to take a picture but this recipe looks good.
BONUS RECIPE IDEA: I LOVE chinese food! Here is a recipe for veggie egg rolls. I’ve always wanted to make these but never have. I hope one day I will take the time to buy all the ingredients to try to make them.
For other of my Lent Foods Pins check out my board on Pinterest! Remember to Link-up your own recipes at the bottom of this post! I look forward to seeing what other awesome recipes everyone else shares as well! The linky will be opened until Easter and this post will stay at the top of my blog so join in on whichever day fits your schedule best!
Here’s my recipe for the week! Groundnut Stew! Can’t want to hear all about Orlando!

If you are making a meal plan to help budget your grocery money, you might want to start by checking your cupboards and freezer to see what you have on hand. Next check grocery store fliers to see what kinds of meat or other food is on sale. Then start planning your meals around what you have on hand and the best buys.
