Welcome to the 10th day of WORDLESS ADVENT! I hope everyone is having a wonderful advent as a time of waiting and prayer.
In case you didn’t know each of the 4 candles represent something different.
The First Purple Candle: HOPE
The Second Purple Candle: PEACE
The PINK Candle: JOY
The Last Purple Candle: LOVE (the best gift of all)
Here is today’s WORDLESS ADVENT GIFT:
It’s not really a picture but I thought it was the best representation to use for St. Nicholas Day (which is TODAY). In the past few weeks EVERYONE has been talking about their St. Nicholas Day traditions. I have never celebrated St. Nicholas Day in my family so go here to learn more about them. We have gone over the traditions of St. Nicholas Day with some of the classes at church. The closest thing my family had to St. Nicholas Day Day was on the Epiphany we left out our shoes (like you do on St. Nicholas Day) for the good italian witch La Befana! The myth is the 3 wise men ended up at her house when they were lost looking for baby Jesus and she gave them directions to the manger (what a great woman! HAHA).
Day 6: Who is your favorite reindeer?
This question is REALLY hard because the only reindeer that they ever talk about is Donner and Rudolph! The other reindeer just kind of sand there. My mom says there is a movie about Prancer but I don’t remember seeing it. So for this question I’m going to say Cupid bc I’m a romantic 🙂
My family celebrated St. Nick’s Day, so I always look forward to December 6! I hope you’re enjoying the day today.
As for the reindeer, I saw the movie Prancer. It’s not on my list of favorite Christmas movies.

Thanks for commenting! My family never celebrated St. Nick’s Day. But we did a similar ritual on the Ephiphany. It’s always nice to have holiday rituals.
