Wow I haven’t done a quick takes since MAY! It’s been a BUSY summer and that’s an understatement. If you read my last post that will catch you up on my crazy summer.
The main HUGE thing that happened back in June was I got ENGAGED!! And we’re in the middle of planning an April wedding. Eventually, I will write up some wedding planning and engagement posts but until then here is a photo of our engagement. He proposed at the bench where we fist met in person for the first time. *AWWWW*
*Props to the random guy that saw the engagement and came over and took our picture*

I saw this image shared in a facebook group a few weeks ago and just died laughing. Really it is how I feel most of the time when it comes to google searches, SEO, and hashtags. You need to make sure you include all the different ways to write the word or phrase so that people can actually find your stuff! So annoying.

I have some ranting to do.
A new Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream shop opened in town and it’s great. Well, whenever people talk about it they are very negative. They are always saying stuff like, “Why would you go there? It’s so expensive just buy the ice cream in the grocery store!” But my thing is that is not an even comparison. The ice cream in the grocery store is ALWAYS going to be way cheaper than an actual ice cream shop. There is another ice cream shop a few doors down from Ben & Jerry’s and the prices are practically the same. I just don’t get people sometimes. Really you should be telling people to go to Dairy Queen instead of Ben and Jerry’s…but you know that would be too easy.

People never cease to surprise me. I was listening to an interview of some bridal dress consultants of a dress shop earlier in the week. The one piece of advice they said was to not pick up your dress the day before your wedding.
I just thought WHAT?!!? Who would wait that last minute to pick up their dress?!!? Like what if something was wrong with the dress? You’d be in big trouble. I take it this happens more than you think that they mentioned it in the interview.
I do remember when my boss’ daughter was getting married with everything she had going on she forgot to pick up her mother of the bride dress until the week of the wedding but I feel like that isn’t that big of a deal because if something was wrong she could have last minute found a dress off the rack that fit without alterations.

Last week I got the strangest “marketing spam” email. It wasn’t an email like normal to guest post on my blog. It was an email giving me “ideas” of blog topics I could write about. Uhm what?!!? You think I don’t know what to write about on my own blog?!!? I sent a snarky response asking if they wanted to sponsor the post and pay me. HA. Of course they didn’t respond but you never know.

When I started blogging in 2011 several of the first bloggers I followed were all pregnant. Now all their babies are starting school! I’ve never met any of these bloggers but I’ve followed them for years and I’m like no how are their babies not babies anymore?!!? Man I’m doomed when I have kids of my own.

This week I joined a Young Adult Catholic Women’s book club and I’m really looking forward to participating. En-route to the group I happened to pass the Trader Joe’s that is in town. It’s not new but it’s in a weird area that I never go. I went the back way to the meeting from work so happened to pass by and I had time to kill so I finally checked it out. Man I wanted to buy #allthethings. I’m going to have to go back when I’m going home afterwards because there were TONS of frozen food items that I wanted to get. I loved their selection of Asian Foods. Right now I’m loving the instant miso soup.
Have a great weekend everyone! Visit Kelly for more Quick Takes!
Congratulations!! How very exciting to be engaged!
The first time going into Trader Joe’s I was absolutely amazing at how large of a variety of chocolate covered things they stocked. Seriously. So. Much. Chocolate.
Congrats on the engagement!
