W00t! I made it to Quick Take #90!! Almost to the big 1-0-0!!
Last week I posted my “Conversion” Story only a month late for Amanda’s link-up. I’ve been reading conversion stories on blogs for YEARS but never felt I had one as I’m a cradle catholic that never left the church. But I wanted to write my own journey and realized that a lot of things that occurred in my childhood effected my decision not to leave the faith.
Last week at mass they talked about stewardship and the priest not ONCE mentioned anything about donating money or that 10% tithing amount that I read about on the internet. It reminded me that I need to work on my Stewardship post I started writing a few months ago and never finished.
The parish has recently taken over the St. Vincent de Paul organization which includes a thrift shop that we run in town and they had people there after mass so I filled out the form. I’ve been wanting to call them about volunteering for months but I always remember at midnight when I can’t make the phone call so I was glad to see they had sign-ups after mass to get my information and hopefully start helping out.
Last night I went to a webinar about using Pinterest in your catechatical classes. Since I’m a blogger and an avid social media enthusiast (that makes me sound fancy) I knew most of the information but I totally started stalking the persenters boards and she has a ton of awesome activities that I didn’t have. Lately I’ve been thinking about Advent and saw this cute activity that I soo want to do HA
Speaking of Advent…I signed up for this Jesse Tree Swap. I’m really excited to make these ornaments and send them out and get ones in the mail to use on my Jesse Tree. I have this awesome book about Jesse Tree Activities my mom bought at a conference and last year I bought an awesome tree to use in my after Christmas Sale Shopping. I’m thinking that my “Advent” thing for my blog this year is going to be Jesse Tree related in some way….we’ll see still have a few weeks to decide.
Lots of TV Shows started back up this week. Man I am not used to watching so many TV shows! I am looking forward to catching up on them all over the weekend! My cousin and I are having bets over which new show gets cancelled first. So far the show “Dads” is high on the list.

The idea of working for St. Vincent DePaul intimidates me greatly but I am a huge admirer of what they do. Go you!

very cool Pinterest idea. Don’t think my 1 year old will by up for it yet, maybe in a few years! and your 37 sounds like something I would do. Why do they make such terrible shows!??

Yeah you might have to wait a few years. My mom teaches a 1-3grade class and we’re thinking about doing it with them 🙂
