Hello everyone!! I am back from my trip and ready to get back into blogging and starting that with this weeks Five Minute Friday!! Now onto the prompt – CLOSE.
GO
CLOSE. This is the perfect prompt for me this week. I literally just got home yesterday from a 3 week European Adventure. I’ve been calling it a combo study abroad trip/pilgrimage/vacation as it was a little bit of all 3. So as my trip comes to an official close I am grateful for the experience I was able to have.
In the three short weeks I was able t see so many things in the world that yes many have seen but so many only dream about or read about in books. I was grateful for the experience to FINALLY be able to do a study abroad program that I have wanted to do since I was 18 and in college the first time but was never able to find an affordable program.
I loved visiting some of the most holy places in the world where some of the most famous saints hail from..to walk in their shoes was so inspiring it’s almost hard to explain. I really look forward to sitting down and reflecting on each day of my trip and writing about the things I saw and the experiences I had. Over the course of 3 weeks I visited over 5 countries, traveled by plane, bus, boat, train and foot. And now I have returned home grateful for my experience and grateful for some of the things that I have at home that you cannot find in some of the places I traveled.

Santorini, Greece

Paris, France

London, England

Thanks! It was my first time to Europe and I had a great time! I hope you get to go someday it was an amazing experience!
How awesome is this! (And how brave!) I like the idea of going abroad, but it also terrifies me, and, with one thing and other, my little ol’ feet have never been outside the continental U.S.
Congrats on a successful adventure!
