*This post was supposed to get posted on Friday but I’m behind this week sorry :(*
I wanted to wait and post this information this week since everyone was busy last week with Thanksgiving I knew you weren’t reading my blog!
The week before Thanksgiving I went to Publix to pick up some sale items!
Here is the rundown on my Publix Trip:
PUBLIX SAVED 62%
Spent: $35.86
Saved: $59.40
Some of the great deals I scored were:
Green Giant Frozen Vegetables – BOGO $1.99 ($0.99) $0.60/3 coupon made them $0.79 each.
Stuffing – BOGO $1.79 ($0.90) no coupons but still a good deal
Rice-A-Roni – BOGO $1.55 ($0.78) no coupons but still a good deal
Smart Balance Butter – BOGO $3.59 ($1.80) $1/2 coupon made them $1.30 each
Domino Brown Sugar & Confectionary Sugar $0.99 (sale price) $0.50/2 coupon made them $0.74 each!
On Thanksgiving Day I hit CVS for some great deals! Many of the deals were free with ECB. I have labeled how much I actually saved from sales and then how much I earned in ECB. I just did two transactions (1 with my EC Card and 1 with my sisters) and didn’t use any of the ECB to make it easier on me and the cashier. I’ll go back to CVS later this month and use them on other deals. Here is a rundown on all my CVS deals:
CVS SAVED 57%
Spent: $55.10
Saved: $31.36 + Recieved $41.89 ECB
CVS had a lot of freebies with their ECB program on Black Friday that I picked up. Here is a rundown of some of the things I picked up:
2 Sets of M&Ms 4/$10 – Recieved $4 ECB ($1/2 Q)
Advil PM 4 CT $0.99 – $0.99 ECB
Advil 10 CT $2.99 – $2.99 ECB
Excedrin 8 CT $0.99 – $0.99 ECB
Kleenex Cool Touch $1.50 – $1.50 ECB
Cepacol Sore Throat Drops (they are the only thing that work for me when I have a sore throat) $4.99 – $4.99 ECB
Carmex $1.00 – $1.00 ECB
Overall it was a pretty good trip. We were able to stock up on pain killers and candy two necesities in an all female household!!
NOVEMBER BUDGET: I was a little over budget in November. I spent $261.05 and Saved $318.29Â with a 55% savings. However, due to Thanksgiving I bought some bigger items like an 8 pound turkey! Still that is pretty good at about $66 a week (Only $11 over my $50 budget). We also have to remember that includes all drugstore items. In the past we were spending that much (or more) JUST on groceries. I am still under my Save more than I spend philosophy though!
Did you get any good deals in the past few weeks? Let me know if you did.
OMG I cant believe how many ECB you earned!!! AMAZING!! and to think i get excited over 5 or 10!! super jealous about the green giant veggies. we just bought the steamer bags at 2/4 at stop and shop today. to think thats a sale for us!
What a great site! I can’t wait to get in here and learn how to really save!
