Last year when I created my 30 Before 30 List one of the things I wanted to do was to document every day of the year with a photo of some kind. I already take a lot of photos on my phone most days and the websites and blogs I saw of people doing it seemed like something fun to document my boring life….and trust me somedays it’s REALLY hard for me to find interesting things to take photos of….there are LOTS of food and lake photos (I work around a lake).
One of the things I wanted to do each month was make a collage of all my photos so I could record them on my blog since I am just using the Photo365 app and instagram to showcase the photos. For January I used the new website Canva for it…but I’m not a fan. It was kind of hard and complicated to use. I think next month I’ll try picmonkey which I use all the time and prefer anyway. I will say it looks like canva has some really neat templates if what you are looking for is EXACTLY like their template..which of course wasn’t my case.
So now that I have blabbed on for two paragraphs here are all my photos for January! It was a pretty tame month. My photo editng skills have been improving thanks to some iphone apps I have found (post is in the works). I think my favorite image is the 2nd image of the blue sky before the rain.
*Disclaimer: And don’t worry I’m not getting married you didn’t miss any news my sister was trying on veils and asked me to “hold onto one” for her and I decided to put it on my head ;)*
Love the new look to your site, Beth!

Thanks! Me too!
hahaha about the veil. This looks like a fun project to do, especially to have it broken up by the month. Did you find yourself having to think “oh, I haven’t taken a picture yet today!” or was it more like “which one do I pick?!”

Thankfully most days it’s more of a “which photo do I pick” but some days especially days I didn’t do much or this past week when I was sick I didn’t really take photos so I’d take obscure things around the house lol
Wow! What an incredible challenge. I take photos all the time and LOVE instagram, but sometimes I go for days without taking one I’m willing to share. It would definitely stretch my imagination and photo skills to take and share something every day. So cool.
And I think I agree. That 2nd photo is beautiful!!

That is one of the reasons why I’m doing it it helps me use my imagination and improve my photography skills 🙂 but yes some days are tougher than others….esp this past week when I was sick and didn’t do a lot.
